This lighter banana split recipe is a sure crowd pleaser. Get creative with toppings, sauces and fresh fruit from your local grocery store.

Make chocolate sauce by adding the maple syrup, cocoa and 1 tbsp boiling water to a small saucepan and heating gently to combine. Set aside to cool slightly. Peel the banana and slice in half lengthwise and place on a dish. Line the scoops of frozen yogurt up down the middle of the banana and top with the chocolate syrup and walnuts.
