Cut the Chiquita bananas into 1cm thick slices and place on a baking tray lined with baking parchment. Place in the freezer until frozen solid, at least two hours but overnight if possible.
very ripe Chiquita bananas
cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder
Once frozen, place the bananas in a blender and add the cacao or cocoa powder and maple syrup. Blend until smooth, about 3 minutes, adding a tablespoon of water to help smooth out if needed. Serve immediately.
TIP: Make up a batch ahead of time and store in a freezer-proof container in the freezer for up to 3 months to enjoy at a later date.
