Chiquita and The American Cancer Society (ACS) collaboration

In the global mission to fight breast cancer, everyone has a role to play. We are proud to collaborate with key global health organizations and non-profits to spread the message to women around the world about the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, including getting regular breast cancer screening.

Our collaboration with the American Cancer Society gives us the opportunity to promote the prevention and early detection of breast cancer in United States while providing valuable support for the implementation of programs that support breast cancer patients whenever they need it.

"Thanks to early detection and advancements in treatment, breast cancer mortality has declined by 44% since 1989," said Wendy Johnson, American Cancer Society Florida Vice President. "Our collaboration with Chiquita has been instrumental in driving this progress. Together, we're raising awareness, supporting survivors, and funding vital research that will further reduce the burden of breast cancer."
Wendy Johnson, American Cancer Society Florida Vice President.

Cancer Facts & Figures

The American Cancer Society projects the number of cancer cases and deaths expected in each state and in the nation each year. Their Cancer Facts & Figures publications provide estimated numbers of new cancer cases, deaths, and survivors, as well as statistics on prevention, early detection, and treatment.

In women in the US, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and is the second leading cause of cancer death after lung cancer. The 2025 Cancer Facts & Figures report includes a section specific to breast cancer and its impact on different populations in the US.
